Within an enterprise over 80% of data is duplicated across users in the form of duplicate emails, attachments or documents. Druvaa inSync saves only a single copy of data duplicated across users, saving over 90% backup time, bandwidth and storage.
The inSync client agent continuously monitors and captures file level changes. Before performing the backup, it uses patent pending advanced file fingerprinting to check with the server, if the file or even a part of it has already been backed up before, by any user.
The inSync Client sends only the unique content to the server. The server just maintains only a single copy of duplicated data and multiple references.
The restore process is totally transparent to the user, all he sees is a faster backup and all his files during restore.
Example:
For example, if an email with 1 MB attachment is sent to 1000 users. Traditional incremental backup software would backup this 1 MB attachment from each of the 1000 different mail boxes. Druvaa inSync would backup 1 MB from the first user, and then skip all the other 999 copies as duplicates. Saving 99.9% backup time, bandwidth and storage.
This technology works independent of file-format or data-type and makes backup almost invisible.
